It’s not everyday Spiderman and Superman stop by
for a friendly game of Risk.
And it’s not everyday a crazy squirrel tries to dart in your patio door when Spiderman (despite my admonitions not to) opens the said patio door to throw a morsel of food out at the poor hungry rodent.
This squirrel entertained us for almost a quarter of an hour this morning. It kept charging at the patio door, had a staring contest with Noah (he didn’t blink once while Noah banged excitedly on the glass) and then proceeded to frantically claw and bite at himself! Very strange, but as I said, very entertaining.

This makes me laugh…I wish we had a squirrel for a pet!

When I was four and five we lived in a lumber camp each winter and I had a pet squirrel. Each morning I would sit on the step and he would come and take prune pits from my hand and sit next to me while he opened them and ate the seed inside. I don’t remember it now but Great Grammie Horsman did at one time have pictures to show it. Not sure if she has now our not. Warning: This is not a good thing to do now because squirrels who come near humans now may be rabid and you would be sick unto death if it bit you. I was thankful for patio doors when I read your story.
