Noah’s first official word: Ball. It’s very cute – he seems to say it with a southern drawl, and he tries so hard to make the “L” sound at the end, but can’t quite get it. He walks around with this ball saying, “Bawoo.”

Here’s something to think about. I looked back in some baby books to see what Elijah and Zeke’s first words were…
Elijah’s was “Gammie” (for Grammie) and there has always been a very special bond between his Grammie Potter (my mother) and him – even across the miles. Elijah’s other first words were people’s names and the letters of the alphabet – he could recall both uncannily – and he’s such a people person and a great reader.
Zeke’s was “car” and Zeke has always had a facination with vehicles and wheels. He still lies with his face against the floor and watches the wheels of a vehicle turn while he pushes it. And oh boy, if we get stopped at train tracks while a train crosses – Zeke is in heaven!
So maybe Daddy will get the sports nut that he wants in Noah? A son that will sit beside him on the sofa and watch basketball and football?! Hope so! (And frankly, I hope Elijah and Zeke grow into this too!)
