Wow, am I glad I’m not a single Mom! How do they do it? If you are a single Mom reading this, God bless you!
Yesterday was my busiest day. We had to get up early, run some errands, get Elijah on the bus at noon, and then Noah and I attended Zeke’s End of Preschool Party. Here are some pictures of him with his teachers.
Then, yesterday evening was Elijah’s first piano recital. There were 80 people there and he was so nervous – the first time he has ever displayed this. His teacher said his hands were visibly trembling as he sat down at the piano, but he sat there with such poise and determination, and played three songs – Sammy the Soccar Star, Have a Ball and Fooba Wooba John – right through! He certainly didn’t play them perfectly, but he didn’t give up or get upset when he made a mistake (as Elijah from a couple years ago would have) and I was so incredibly proud of him! Excellent job Elijah!
Here he is with his teacher Solveig (Sol-vay) playing Fooba Wooba John – it was a duet. (I will get Dave to post some of the video from the recital – it’s so cute! Although, I am aware that it may be something only a Mother could love!)
On top of all this, Noah got the mysterious rash that has been going around to all the babies in our church. Word is that it is viral, and will clear up on it’s own, but I’ve had a pretty cranky boy for the past couple of days. He was pretty good at Zeke’s party though, and I was blessed to be able to have a babysitter for last night.
So, Daddy is back and we are all glad. I hear the birds singing as I type this, and we have a great forcast for Memorial Day weekend – 80′s all the way! Ain’t life grand?!

Thanks for posting these pics and comments. Could the mysterious rash be Fifth Disease. Grace has it now…picked it up at school.

Yes, someone else mentioned that, but only the babies seem to be getting it. I guess Elijah and Zeke may be immune, but I can’t ever remember them getting a rash like that. It’s mostly all cleared up now, and his beautiful “peaches and cream” complextion is returning. He was covered with bright red pimples for almost three days!
