On Friday night, Zeke announced that he would like to try riding a two-wheeler, so Daddy obliged and removed his training wheels. Much to our amazement, after a push from Daddy, he rode strait and steady for a good distance, then applied the brakes and put his feet down on the ground – he’s a natural! Of course, it helps that he’s been riding a bike around campus since he was barely three, but still, I’m in awe – I was almost nine when I learned to ride without training wheels!
Elijah woke me up Saturday morning to tell me that finally…his tooth is loose! He and Gabrielle were the only two kids in their kindergarten class to not lose teeth…and this was especially alarming to Elijah because their class kept a graph of sorts to keep track of who had lost how many teeth. Of course, to my ever competitive son, this was a competition that he had lost!
Meanwhile, Noah had “Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease” – a terrible name for a virus that lasts about a week. It afflicts mostly the mouth with painful ulcers, so he ate only bananas, applesauce and yogurt for the last few days and (for some reason) anything and everything went in his mouth – including this Fudge Cycle stick with a remnant of tasty chocolate still on it. Thankfully, he is back to his happy, ravenous self this morning!
Ahhh, it’s good to be back…on-line that is. Our internet connection was down all weekend, and it’s great to be back in touch with the world again! (Dave wants you all to know that not having internet can make you do strange things…he watched Pride and Prejudice with me last night! I thought it was a wonderful and humerous story! If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it!)
We’d love to hear what things you did this weekend. Let the commenting begin!

My vacation has just started, so I did as little as humanly possible this weekend. Now I’m up and running with tasks at hand, but the weekend was undoubtedly frivelled away.

That virus is going around here as well…. Josiah got it a few weeks ago – his doctor called it “coxsackie” He had it for two very long weeks and it ended with an ear infection – poor buddy! This weekend everyone was feeling great, and daddy needed a break from painting the house so we took the kids the that new water park by the MOA – lot’s of fun!! Glad to have you back! I was missing your regular posting, but chalked it up to your busier schedule.
And Dave — you could do worse than watch Pride and Prejudice!

We were finishing up our vacation in Annapolis Royal and driving back to Moncton on Sunday. Scott went back to work today…so sad. We had a great time.
I am glad that you got to meet Anja. I wish that I could drop by, too. (sigh.)
