Noah’s newest word is “haw” (for hot). This is the adjective I use, of course, to describe the oven, so in Noah’s travels through our kitchen he often warns me that the oven is “haw.” (Elijah and Zeke laugh hysterically, by the way, when Noah says this. (?))
I assumed however that he was using “haw” as a noun – that he was calling the oven a “haw” and not describing it as “haw.” Well, he proved me wrong. Yesterday was a scorcher, and the sand at a park we were at was extremely hot. After he touched it he looked at me, pointed at the sand, and said, “haw.” And then this morning, when he saw steam rising from my cup of coffee, he told me – with a very concerned look – that it was “haw.” So cute!
It doesn’t take much to make a Mom proud!
