Playing In The Park

26 Aug

On Wednesday night after supper, we went to the park to see if Elijah could indeed beat Janet at a foot race. Elijah had been trash talking Janet all through supper about it. Elijah won. A beautiful night of family bonding followed, but, unfortunately, the foot race was left on the cutting room floor. A note about the soundtrack: I was all set to use a cute worship song, Tim Hughes’, “Joy Is In This Place”, but Elijah thought it was not a great choice. He felt The Counting Crows, “Angels Of The Silence”, captured the mood much better, and in the end, I agreed.

Cute. Jeremiah and I really enjoyed it. He especially liked the music and was clapping along – he did get a little concerned when he saw Dave running at the camera though! Of course I was awaiting a replay of the foot race… I guess we’ll just have to take your word for it that Elijah was indeed the winner.

Yeah, I’m not sure why Dave didn’t include the race… It was pretty close, but Elijah really did beat me, and I was running as fast as I possibly could!
