I'm Glad We Cleared That Up…

30 Aug

Here in Minnesota kindergarten is only two and a half hours long (unless you want to pay extra for a full day), but now that Elijah is going into first grade, he’ll be at school “all” day. We’ve been talking about this all summer, and were a little concerned when Elijah got upset when we brought up the subject.

101_1480 (Custom).JPGWe recently recieved a postcard in the mail (I was all set to post a photo of it, but it had way too much information on it for internet weirdos) with Elijah’s pick up and drop off information on it. He gets on the bus at 8:50 am and back home at 3:50 pm.

After studying the postcard carefully (I could see the concentration on his face), and using his fingers to count, Elijah then said, “I’m not going to school all day. I’ll only be gone seven hours! I thought all day meant 24 hours… why didn’t you tell me this?!”

Oops!

Too Funny!! Elijah sounds SO much like Isaiah (Isaiah is very black & white)

I thought it was funny that we both posted bath tub pictures and talked about school busses – what are the chances of that???

My neice was terribly upset when she came home (on the bus) from her 1st day at school. It took ages to discover that she thought that was the only bus ride she was going to get. She hadn’t understood that she would take the bus every day.
