Christmas Morn

25 Dec

Here is how the morning went…

It started at about 6:45a.m. with Noah and the Christmas Train.

Elijah and Zeke joined him at about 7:00a.m.

Grammie Potter gave the boys this nativity set.

Opened the stockings at about 8 a.m.

Zeke taught Noah the leg tunnel for the train.

After reading the Christmas story by each one taking a turn (Janet read for Noah and Zeke repeated after me) and then lighting a candle and sharing that light with the next reader, we had breakfast. Then it was time for the presents. (Speaking of reading, our family did the last advent reading during the Christmas Eve service last night and Elijah did a great job reading a portion of Isaiah 60.) Here is a sampling of all the wonderful gifts.

Grammie opened her stocking in the early afternoon but I still just had to include this picture.

This makes up for all the times I have complained about the world wide web. This mornig it takes my breath away! Thanks for letting us into your home and sharing your Christmas with us. And I don’t care what anyone else says—Janet, — your boys are “BEAUTIFUL”!

So cute! I love the matching jammies! What kind of vaccum is that, Janet – do you like it?

How fun!!! I loved seeing this little story board of your Christmas morning. I can’t wait until we have more kids and can put them in matching Christmas pijamas!!!! Your guys are such a beautiful family!

Hi Renee, Yes, I love my new vaccum! The first time I used it, I could hear it sucking up all the dirt and sediment from the past months (and maybe even years!). It’s a Hoover bagless, that “won’t loose suction”…the same idea as those new Dysons, but half the price.

Hi Beka and Jason, I trust you had a good Christmas in the Ukraine. Christmas does get more fun the more childen we have! I love it!

    Hey Janet and Dave,
Love seeing pictures of your Christmas and Gammy Potter:) It’s been a long time since I’ve seen the boys (maybe 2 years?). I was home in Moncton for a week and saw a Christmas card at Kyla’s and Tim’s with your blog address, and thought I would check it out. You guys must be really busy, but it looks like you’re having tonnes of fun:) Happy New Year! Email when you get a chance, Janet…I’ll fill you in on what’s new in Mississauga and the world of grade four. Happy early birthday Janet (wink, wink)

I was wondering what store the little people nativity set came from.

We got the set at walmart.com but I went to search for it today and could not find it. Maybe it is seasonal?
