9 Short Years

12 Jun

md_lilacs-custom.jpg9 years ago today, at this time, I was in Albert County picking wild flowers with my dad. We were getting the arrangements ready for my wedding! Yes, it is hard to believe, I have been married this long, but when I see my family grow from 2 to 6 over that time it seems just about right. I am very blessed to have the wife that I do. Janet and I have known each other since we were teens and I have loved getting to know her. Just last week, while driving down the road, I shared with her a revelation that I just had about us and the different ways we think about things. When I finished sharing my new discovery she said, “Well, yeah! It took you this long to figure it out?” So even though we have known each other for 15 years there is still lots to discover and I am looking forward to it! Happy Anniversary. I love you, Janet.

Blessings on your anniversary!! I well remember that day, thought about it just on Sunday when I was collecting lilacs to bring into the house. It was a good day for us to spend together. I’m so glad you married Janet. What a good wife and mother!! And I believe you are a good husband and father too. Bless you all. DAD
