Hillcrest Happenings, Hear The Latest

 headerpanarama.jpg

Over at Hillcrest, my school, quite a few things are happening. For instance we’re haveing a school read-a-thon for Costa Rica, for money of course. we’re raising money for a community center, and I want to sign up.  Also at my school we have things called mad minutes, we half to anser 40 math questions in 2 minutes. it sounds a little tricky, dosn’t it? so I half to think like this: What is 18+24=? wait I know this one… is it 40? no thats 16+24.  Oh yeah! It’s 42! so you see, thats a little tricky. Oh, and also my best freind at school is Cammbell Karjala. We play a game called snowbording at reccess where we make snowbord jumps and test them out. well thats about it. Bye.

Elijah, I didn’t know your school was Hillcrest. Many, many, many years ago when Grampie began teaching school the first school he taught at was Hillcrest. Not your school but a Hillcrest School in Moncton. When you come to New Brunswick to visit perhaps Dad will drive you by my Hillcrest School so you can see where I was a teacher. I hope you can read a lot for Costa Rica. Do you know what the money will be used for? Say “hi” to Zeke, Noah and Phoebe for Grammie and Grampie. We love you all!

Elijah, can you believe that I had Mad Minute tests when I was in grade three? I loved racing the clock and always thought they were kind of fun, even if they were a challenge.

So what do you and Cammbell use to test out your snowboard jumps? Do you have a snowboard at school? That would be so cool.
