Noah has just discovered our CD of Robert Munsch stories, another CD (by a wonderful Canadian author!) that I think every family needs. I’m sure he’s heard it before, but just lately he’s taken a huge leap forward in cognitive developement, (I think kids must have mental growth spurts as well as physical ones, don’t you?) and it’s fun to watch him really listen to it. During one story, I saw his eyes light up with an idea…
Wow, you make quite a ruckus, Noah!
We LOVE Robert Munsch as well and were lucky to see him live this fall. Your readers might like to know that the “Storytime with Robert Munsch” link on his site links to a whole library of downloadable audio.
Which one is YOUR favourite Munsch story, Janet?
Ooo, ooo, I’m so glad you asked! It’s “Stephanie’s Ponytail.” It reminds me of me…I was a trend setter at our elementary school, and never got the credit for it.
For instance, I really did start the side ponytail trend in 2nd grade…although it’s still a topic of debate between my younger sister and I!
However, I DON’T like the quotable line from this story so much. Noah has also been going around saying, “Ug-a-ly, ug-a-ly, verrrr-y ug-a-ly.” I’m afraid he’ll say it to someone!
Janet…for the last time…you did not start the on the side pony tail. I think Cindy Lopper or Madonna did :O) I can prove this to you if you would like. And I’m not really sure the on the side pony tale is anything to be proud of…like most of the early 90’s
) Your too funny. Careful or I’ll post a photo I have of you and Joanne Kelly with your Micheal Jackson pins and on the side pony tail!
Love you! Izzy is now running about with pot lids too…so funny. He loves to see Noah on here!
Big news in TO. A cow got out in a neighbourhood after a truck turned. It chared the farmer and a few cops. It took 13 bullets to take him out. The city is wonderfully silly place!
I love Robert Munsch too! And Stephanie’s ponytail was definetly one of my faves! Noah you are too cute!
