Happy Birthday Noah!

Fun With Stop Start Animation
So TV turn off week was another success. It took them a few days to detox but once they did their imaginations took over. This weekend as it was raining and cold outside, we made an expection and let Elijah and Zeke create media. It was technically screen time, I suppose, but they didn’t sit around watching media they got creative and made something so others could sit and watch media.
They used my iPhone to get the shots and then we arranged it in Window Movie Maker and made the soundtracks in Garage Band. I guess, I was the engineer but they really produced the whole thing. Right from concept through to the desciions on style of music and the use of sound effects. I had a blast editing these with them. Enjoy!
The Urination Accusation
Uh…Mummy, could you pretend that you’re really, really scared of me?
Just a second, Noah, I’m cleaning the pee off of the toilet seat that somebody left there.
I wasn’t me! …It was Phoebe.
Nice try, Kiddo.
P.S. It’s National TV Turn Off Week this week so I’ll be off the computer for the next seven days. See you next Monday.
Recovering…
All is well here in Horsmanville, in case you’re wondering. We had a great spring break full of good times. Some highlights were: tuning into the world curling competition via the Internet, the attempted rescue of Bob the Gopher – he was later pronounced dead though
– “shooting hoops” and …an ongoing fued over which older brother was Noah’s best friend. Noah would flip-flop between the two, one minute declaring Elijah to be his BFF and then later Zeke. Sounds annoying maybe, but actually, it was cute. I’m so looking forward to summer vacation! Noah plays so much better when his brothers are here.
Right now, though, I’m kind of in recovery mode. I, too, kind of took a spring break and ignored housework, laundry and such while the boys were home. In fact this morning I finally got around to folding almost a dozen loads of laundry that had been lying heaped in a pile since the day before spring break even started! Yikes. Now… to put them all where they belong…
32 And Lovin' It!
Yup, I turned 32 today, and I’ve been lovin’ every minute of it! Even the first few minutes, during which my four boys brought me this wonderful breakfast in bed (Phoebe was still asleep)…
…And my oldest son, who had woken up not feeling well, stopped at the thresh-hold of our room and proceeded to vomit into the “barf bucket” he was carrying. Oh, it was classic…you should have been there! Ha! …I mean, seriously, what else can ya do but laugh about it, huh? (By the way, he recovered quickly, was feeling well enough to eat lunch and is now outside playing. Ah, the vitality of children!)
Below is what I requested from the kids as a birthday present, a family photoshoot, a feat usually only accomplished with bribery of some kind.
And I guess this one was no different, really, ’cause I promised them we could do a funny face shot at the end. I think it’s pretty obvious who does the best funny face, eh?
I love my life and I love my family! “Gee, I’m glad I’m no one else but me!”
P.S. I won’t be blogging much for the next week; Spring Break began today and runs through April 13. Have a blessed Easter if I don’t “see” you again before then.
