I often am told by people that it’s so cute how Phoebe always has freshly brushed hair…as if one of my top priorities is to always keep her hair brushed! Depending on who it is I either smile and nod or explain that I actually never brush her hair. Like, seriously. Never. In fact, I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I rarely even do anything with her hair. Well…embarrassed probably isn’t the right word, but I do feel kinda silly…’cause I really thought I’d enjoy the whole pigtail factor of having a little girl a lot more than I do. The doing of the pigtails, though, is a procedure not really relished by either Phoebe or me.
Oh well. Maybe when she’s older it will be easier and more enjoyable. Ooorrrr, maybe not.

That is beautiful hair! I never brush my hair either, in fact I don’t even own a brush! I can’t say my hair is as lovely has Pheobe’s but perhaps it is a little like mine :O) I’d like to think so! Nev’s continues to remind me of yours…the colour…but there are not many photos of you at the 1 year mark…probably cuz i came along and kept everyone busy! but hers is growing really fast these days so I hope to have some pig tail days soon! I can’t beleive that is the hair of an almost 2 year old!!!!
Love you lots…still waiting for photos…of you! I will pester you til you send one!

Yep…Jill, the credit always goes to you when people ask if my hair was like Phoebe’s when I was little. I have to say, “No, but my younger sister did.” And do you remember how Tanya used to say your hair was difficult to do because it was so soft and slippery? Mine, though, was coarser, and easier to work with. So maybe Nev’s hair will prove to be easy to do!
How comical is it that the gene pool has gotten all shuffled up and that our daughters have each others hair? I’m seriously fascinated by genetics. I’m praying fervently that this next one will have curly red hair. Hey, it could happen… Red hair and curls are in the gene pool…somewhere.
Ok, ok…the pictures. I’ll see if Dave is up for taking some photo’s of me today.

I prayed the Nev would have red hair too…I don’t think God minded :O) I think our desire to have a little redhead extends beyond the superficialness of it all! Of course a healthy baby is all that matters – but after that I will pray for a red head for you too! Do you have names picked out?
