Here’s a little of what’s been happening around here lately…
Our Sweet P Turned two on June 11th. We had a delightful little party out on our front lawn with all of our “campus family” for her special day. Phoebe was so tickled about the whole thing! It was really adorable. Dave made a little video encapsulating the whole day…
(It took my sister in Toronto watching this video for me to realize that Phoebe uses her left hand a lot. I’m tentatively excited! I so want to have a “south paw!”)
Another exciting event: Dave and I celebrated our 11th aniversary on the 12th. We even got to get away overnight thanks to Naomi, who bravely stayed overnight with our kids. Thanks Naomi! The kids have been saying they want to see you again soon.
And here’s a little picture riddle for you to figure out. Friday morning was spent at a table outside playing with some playdough that Phoebe got for her birthday. Can you guess what these two playdough figures, one made by Elijah, the other by Zeke, were all about?

either you are going to Canada, or you are having twins? Am i right?
Do you really think she is a lefty? I thought Nev was – I too was hopefull. If I don’t have a red head I would take a lefty – but I think she clearly uses her right! I hope Pheobe is too! Not that it matters but I hope she is!
The little guys. Gee…they look like little characters I have seen on tv. a hockey player and a puck? Or a duck man (playing hockey) and a tomato slice with legs. I’m not trying to insult Eli and Zeke’s design but I’ve got nothin’.
hey Tim Horton’s has partnered with the Cold Stone Creamery and they are opening on the end of the month just a bit away from us! I am excited!
Love you all!
Jill
Cari…no nothing that huge. Here’s a hint: It was an event that caused quite a bit of excitement here last week. At the end of the week. On Friday. Evening. And Dave sacrificially missed most of this event to take me to the Cold Stone Creamery for ice cream. (Wasn’t that nice of him?)
Jill…you’re close with the hockey thing. Keep going in that direction.
Looks like Peter Puck to me. Is it Sydney Crosby winning the Stanley Cup on Friday Night?
Cold Stone Creamery…sigh.
Well that is certianly a hockey stick but Zekes little round guy… is he the goalie? Oh is it a penquin playing hockey…as in the Pittsburg Penguins. I don’t even know what other team was in….
And Debie…Tim Hortons has partnered with the Cold Stone Creamery to open partner stores in Ontario and if all goes well…maybe NB will get some too!!! I’m looking forward to trying it for the first time!!
Nice gams, Phoebe! Between the high heels and that beautiful hair, she’s almost ready for a runway! I’m thinking that if you have another girl as beautiful as she is, you’ll be so so grateful that they have 3 older brothers to protect them!
Can we get Phoebe and Harper together for a play date – I think they would be fast friends
Ha! Shannon, you make me laugh! And Harper is quite the little beauty herself.
Now…here’s the answer to the picture riddle. Elijah and Zeke, for the first time ever, were totally into the Stanley Cup playoffs this year. And it was no surprise when they chose to root for opposing teams (since boys = competition. Seriously, they could figure out a way to make anything into a competition.) Elijah’s figure is a penguin, representing the Pittsburg Penguins, and Zeke’s is a red wing, for the Detroit Redwings. We gave the babysitter permission to let them stay up to watch the game on Friday night. So exciting.
