There s/he is! Little Horsman number five. Number FIVE. I’m gonna have five kids.
I’m due in just four weeks and I’m not prepared at all for this little ones arrival. Until about a week ago, before I picked up a new package of Onsies at Walmart, this baby didn’t even have a stitch of clothing to it’s name. (And we’re still looking to borrow an infant carseat, if you’ve got one to lend.
) Oh well…I’m sure s/he will survive somehow.
What do you think number five will be? You can enter your guess, along with a guess on the weight, legnth and due date by clicking on the box below. We played a little guessing game like this before Phoebe was born and I said, jokingly, that the winner could name our fifth. Ha! No such jokes this time.

i am terrible at these guessing games, but for what it is worth, you look beautiful! I can’t wait to see the newest lil horseman!
Hey Janet, your guess of how much your baby will weigh is the same as my son weighed!
I have a carseat and base you can have!
whoot whoot! thanks for making my heart smile today Jan, why we want to see pics of bellies so much may seem strange I guess but I’ve still been hoping you would post one! i guess it makes me feel a little less far away! you look lovely! isn’t that skirt t so comfy and cool on hot days! I’m getting a box of things ready to send! I wish mom didn’t have to check and recheck stuff at the airport cuz I could send cloths and a car seat to but it would be too much…oh – yipee – I just spotted up there that a friend has a car seat for you! Don’t worry guys – you will be blessed with help for the things this little ones needs – I know you will! when I land myself a private jet I’ll scoot over to make you all breakfast some morning :O)
love you all! you look great! from one “last born” baby to baby to be – you little one were created by one amazing God and this family was always ment to be yours! I can’t wait to meet you! …and HOPE does not disappoint us…(romans)
Yes Jill I love that skirt that you sent, and the other ones too. In my opinion skirts are the comfiest option during pregnancy. Pants and shorts need to be constantly readjusted and hiked up, but skirts stay put.
Oh, thank you, thank you, Vicki! I knew somebody around here would have one to lend us, it was just a matter of finding out who.
Hi –
You look fantastic, and I think that 5 kids + homeschooling = 1 courageous mom! What an exciting adventure your family is living. Blessings to you all.
Just out of curiosity … who won Phoebe’s arrival contest, and what was there suggestion for Baby #5’s name?
Sorry, I meant “their suggestion”, not “there suggestion”.
I won! ME! Me! But Janet won’t let me name s/he…she said it was only a joke. And I’m her baby sister – mean isn’t she :O)
Well Jill, you are the only person I’ve shared my short list of names with and asked an opinion on, though, remember? That’s gotta count for something.
Wow, Janet you look awesome!! Thanks for posting of picture of you.
Thank you for sharing the picture! As you know I have been fasting for you and just a few days ago I read this scripture and immediately thought of you and now I can say, ‘IT’S TRUE, IT’S TRUE’
“For he has endowed you with splendor.” Isaiah 55:5(one of my favorite bible chapters)
I have had such an excitement about this baby since it was announced, and regardless of what you name it or whether it is a boy or a girl, “I believe” this baby is “our famiy’s Daniel”. It is the accumulation of praying women through the generations and my prayer has been that he/she will bring many to know the LORD!
Wow, Darlene, thank you so much for these thoughts… No, they are more than just thoughts, we are claiming them as prophetic words for this baby!
Your words ring very true to us, and ever since studying Daniel’s life last summer at IHOP we very much desire to raise up Daniels! Thank you so much, as well, for praying and fasting for me and our new baby. It’s very special.
Love you.
