…After reading the last couple chapters of Charlotte’s Web and writing a letter to Charlotte’s children to tell them about their mother, we’re watching the movie. The 2006 version with Dakota Fanning as Fern. The kids are teetering back and forth between loving the visual effects of Charlotte building her web and disliking the fact that “everything is happening too fast.”
We made it through last week with only Noah and Elijah falling victom to the stomach flu. I was pleasantly surprised, since this thing is spreading like wildfire, and very thankful.
Anyways…duty is calling. Lots to do.
P.S. The song “Ordinary Miracle” in Charlotte’s Web reminds me of this. I’m going to watch it today and probably bawl my eyes out. My kids are growing up way too fast. *sigh*

Don’t worry, Janet…I’m crying right along with you…yet again!
“Writing a letter to Charlotte’s children to tell them about their mother” is a beautiful assignment. Thoughts about my mother by those who knew and loved her are some of my best things…ever. I miss my mother. I only knew her as a mother, and I feel that I missed out on knowing her as an adult person. I would have loved that. Letters to children are an amazing gift that absolutely nothing can replace. And, I love it when others use their memories to make me smile and cry. I am so thankful.
Blessings on you, Dave, and those adorable neices and nephews of mine. I miss you all.
