This is so incredible. I wanna do it! Anyone want to join me? I guess I’d have to talk Dave into it first, though.

A Birthday, An Anniversary And A Clue
Here’s a little of what’s been happening around here lately…
Our Sweet P Turned two on June 11th. We had a delightful little party out on our front lawn with all of our “campus family” for her special day. Phoebe was so tickled about the whole thing! It was really adorable. Dave made a little video encapsulating the whole day…
(It took my sister in Toronto watching this video for me to realize that Phoebe uses her left hand a lot. I’m tentatively excited! I so want to have a “south paw!”)
Another exciting event: Dave and I celebrated our 11th aniversary on the 12th. We even got to get away overnight thanks to Naomi, who bravely stayed overnight with our kids. Thanks Naomi! The kids have been saying they want to see you again soon.
And here’s a little picture riddle for you to figure out. Friday morning was spent at a table outside playing with some playdough that Phoebe got for her birthday. Can you guess what these two playdough figures, one made by Elijah, the other by Zeke, were all about?
Fun With Stop Start Animation
So TV turn off week was another success. It took them a few days to detox but once they did their imaginations took over. This weekend as it was raining and cold outside, we made an expection and let Elijah and Zeke create media. It was technically screen time, I suppose, but they didn’t sit around watching media they got creative and made something so others could sit and watch media.
They used my iPhone to get the shots and then we arranged it in Window Movie Maker and made the soundtracks in Garage Band. I guess, I was the engineer but they really produced the whole thing. Right from concept through to the desciions on style of music and the use of sound effects. I had a blast editing these with them. Enjoy!
Link-O-Rama
Well, hello there! I know, I kind of left y’all hangin’ for the last half of last week. I got buried under a mountain of old photos.
But I do have something to show for it; I can’t wait to see my photobook form Shutterfly! It’ll be so great to have the highlights from our past year in print. I wish I could send you all a copy. Dave, though, has done the next best thing and has made a little slideshow with many of the photos I used in the photobook. It’s set to a great song too, Phil Wickham‘s Beautiful.
I have a few other links to share with you all as well. One is a sermon Dave preached last Sunday evening at the BHOP Forerunner Gathering – Establishing a Gathering Culture – and I, personally, think he did an amazing job! The sermon is an hour long (I know! …Go Dave!) so you may prefer to listen to this 15 minute segment, the crux, I do believe, of the message. You will definitely be challenged! Perhaps it will convince you once and for all that those “nutty Horsmans” are nuttier than ever
…or maybe his message will ring true in your spirit. Either way, you’ll gain a better understanding (I think) of why were doing what we’re doing. And I may as well link you to his sermon notes, too, for the complete package.
A couple more. This article, written by a mother of a son with autism was so enlightening for me. Just…wow. I will never again mindlessly judge a parent for what seems like their lack of discipline to their child/children in public.
Finally, here’s one by Randy Bohlender, a post he did a last week in response to a commenters very blunt question about how he and his wife can justify asking people to fund their latest adoption when they are putting money into their new house. The commenter wasn’t pushy or rude, just asked an honest question…and I love how Randy responds! I, for one, am thankful for that commenters question, which forced Randy to articulate his thoughts about, what he calls, the ‘new paradigm of adoption.’ So good. A must read.
P.S. Oops! I almost forgot these two:

Here’s a video of some of our Christmas day for family back home to enjoy. Merry Christmas!
Mike Bickle – The Book of Revelation
If our recent blog posts have given you some hunger to study the end-times but you’ve not known where to start, this teaching will completely demystify the Book of Revelation for you and give you a great launching point for prayer and study of this subject. I encourage you to watch this and discuss the content with others that are hungry to hear what the Spirit is saying to the church in this hour.
Janet and I are growing so much being in a community like BHOP who are in this thing all the way! We, for sure, don’t have all the answers but we are getting hungry to know Jesus in the way He reveals Himself in the Book of Revelation and we know that He rewards those that diligently seek Him.
So download the notes, gather the kids and neighbors, and settle in for a night of non-stop excitement! Feel free to post any comments and/or questions you have related to this message, and I’d love to discuss this with you!

BHOP Promo Video
Here’s a short, seven minute promo video that Bethany House of Prayer put together recently explaining a little about what BHOP and the prayer movement is all about…oh, and Dave’s in it too!
P.S. And here are the outtakes, starring mostly Dave…hilarious!
Noah On His "Big Boy Bike"
I thought you might like to share in the hilariousness and terror of having a three-year-old riding a two wheeler. His large-motor skill development has far surpassed the common sense needed to accompany it…he gets going awfully fast sometimes! He already got in a pretty serious accident, that left him with three wiggly front teeth. Oh dear. I wish bike helmets with a face guard, like a hockey helmet, were on the market!
